The Talbot County Department of Economic Development and Tourism is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Kristen Goller as the Tourism Manager. In this role, Goller will play a pivotal part in advancing the county’s tourism initiatives and fostering economic growth through strategic marketing and development efforts.

With a career dedicated to the tourism and hospitality industry, Goller brings a wealth of experience to her new role. Before joining Talbot County, she served as the tourism manager for Wicomico County, Maryland, where she successfully led initiatives to market the county, boost visitation, and generate a positive economic impact. Kristen’s remarkable 16-year tenure with Wicomico County included her role as the director of marketing and public relations for the Wicomico County Department of Recreation, Parks & Tourism.
Goller is well-versed in collaboration, having worked closely with city, county, and regional elected leaders, advisory boards, economic development directors, hotel partners, and businesses within the tourism industry. At the state level, she forged strong partnerships with Maryland’s Department of Commerce, particularly with the Office of Tourism Development and with Maryland Sports.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Goller holds a Master of Arts in History/Museum Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Bachelor of Arts in History and English, with a concentration in professional writing. A resident of Maryland’s Eastern Shore for 30 years, she looks forward to becoming an integral part of the Talbot County community.

Goller has also been actively involved in the tourism community, serving as a board member for the Maryland Tourism Coalition, President of the Beach to Bay Heritage Area, and holding various roles within the Maryland Association of Destination Marketing Organizations, including secretary, treasurer, and chairman.
