The Oxford-Bellevue Ferry and captains Tom and Judy Bixler were recently featured in an article published in the Baltimore Magazine titled “Old Faithful: A Beacon of History and Nostalgia.”
“As the ferry’s owners and operators for the past 17 years, the Bixlers have not only landed their dream retirement gig, but also a piece of Maryland history. This year, the three-quarter-mile ferry line will turn 335, making it one of the oldest privately owned ferries in the country.”
